28mm German Forward Observation Officers

From Warlord Games, Bolt Action range. My first 28mm piece after the summer break, and the first of many on the workbench!

Great fun to paint, tons of character in Warlord's stuff.

Soviets next....

Back...with a bang!

So my poor little blog has been somewhat neglected over the last few months. A combination of hot weather, being extremely busy with 'real' work and becoming a dad again has seen me with little time (or energy!) for my toys :(

I've been gradually getting back into it over the last few weeks though, and i am starting to get a few pieces finished now.

This is a 1:72 scale (or 20mm) German 8.8cm Flak 36/37 Heavy anti-aircraft gun, made by Russian company Zvezda. It was a rather tricky build, mainly due to the fact it was supposed to be snap-fit. Many of the pieces simply did not fit together correctly (particularly the crew figures) so i had to do a fair amount of cutting, drilling, sanding and filling.

Hey, thats my picture!

WWPD have today posted a review of the 'not-so-new' 15mm Tiger 1E kit from Plastic Soldier Company, and (without asking) have used one of my pictures (the buggers!)

Does posting a picture on their forum boards give them the right to use your pictures elsewhere?

If you look closely you can also see its not even finished! It was a WIP shot!

28mm Waffen SS PaK40 Anti-tank gun

From Warlord games Bolt Action range. The gun was rather tricky to build but i had lots of fun painting the camo on these guys.

I used an old CD for the base (although i forgot to clean up the edges!) and made the officer/spotter figure removable (i put him on a 2p piece)
